Mix the Ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, combine the whiskey, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup. Add ice to the shaker, about halfway full.
Shake: Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until the outside of the shaker becomes cold to the touch.
