Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Hand Mixer or Stand Mixer

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup caramel sauce
  • 0.5 cup chocolate chips optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, beat together butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined.
  • Fold in caramel sauce and chocolate chips, if using.
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown around the edges. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Chilling the dough before baking helps prevent spreading and enhances the chewy texture. Adjust sweetness by reducing caramel or sugar if preferred.
