Ingredients
  

Churro Dough

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • cooking spray

Cinnamon Sugar Coating

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Boil water, butter, sugar, and a pinch of salt in a saucepan.
  • Stir in flour and baking powder until a dough forms. Let cool.
  • Beat in the egg until fully incorporated and smooth.
  • Pipe dough into 1–2 inch pieces on parchment paper.
  • Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway.
  • Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Toss hot bites in mixture and serve immediately.

Notes

For gluten-free variation, substitute with gluten-free flour. Let the dough cool sufficiently before adding the egg to avoid scrambling. Serve warm for best texture.
